Two-Day Trek in Bukit Lawang, Mount Leuser National Park

This journey allows for an enriching exploration and discovery of the vibrant jungle. Following a day of adventure, participants will have the opportunity to relax at a campsite near the river or waterfall, where they can enjoy a refreshing swim and partake in a homemade dinner. Engaging discussions and interactive games with experienced guides around a bonfire provide a unique communal experience, allowing the tranquil sounds of the jungle to serve as a natural lullaby for a restful night’s sleep. The following morning, guests can anticipate a nourishing breakfast prior to delving deeper into the jungle to observe captivating wildlife, concluding with a tubing excursion back to Bukit Lawang.
Itinerary Overview:
Day One: The trek commences after breakfast, between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Participants will enter the national park, dedicating 7-8 hours to the pursuit of orangutans and other wildlife while concurrently learning about local flora and their applications. A midday break for lunch, along with a selection of fresh fruit, will be provided. Upon reaching the campsite, guests can rejuvenate with tea or coffee and enjoy a swim or bath in the river. In the evening, dinner will be served, followed by engaging card games and other jungle-themed activities guided by an expert. Guests will then settle in for an overnight stay in the jungle.
Day Two: On this day, there will be no trekking into the jungle. Instead, after breakfast, participants will have the opportunity to shower at the waterfall. Following this, the group will return to the campsite for lunch and prepare for an enjoyable tubing adventure down the river back to Bukit Lawang.
Price: 120 Euros per person.
Minimum Participants: 2-3 persons.
Maximum Participants: 4-8 persons.
Price Includes:
– A permit for entry into Mount Leuser National Park from the PHPA Office (ranger forestry), inclusive of a camera tax.
– A permit issued by the Bukit Lawang Guide Association.
– Meals (lunch, dinner, and breakfast) during the trek, as well as drinking water and a variety of fruits.
– Provision of essential equipment, including a tent, mosquito net, blanket or sheet, and sleeping mat or mattress.
– Tube rafting or the alternative option to walk back to Bukit Lawang.
